Communications

The Communications Department's role is to tell the stories of Hopkins Public Schools for prospective families, our scholars, and our community.

This department is responsible for the District's marketing, public, and community relations efforts. The department supports our public website and social media profiles; provides media relations; publishes District newsletters, mailers, and Community Education brochures; promotes print and digital Districtwide branding; and provides  promotion for community relations events.

Communication for School Closings, Emergencies, and eLearning Days

Our email notification system will be used to inform you about unexpected delays, school closings, or a need to shift to eLearning. We will also post this information on this website (HopkinsSchools.org), social media, and television stations such as WCCO TV (Channel 4), KSTP TV (Channel 5), KMSP TV (Channel 9), and KARE (Channel 11). An announcement will be sent as early as 5:30 a.m. when a school needs to close, start late, or shift to eLearning. Early dismissal from school in session will be announced approximately one hour before dismissal.
