Sue attended the University of Iowa where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and Special Education/Physical Disabilities. She began her career teaching homebound students in Illinois.
After moving to Minnesota, Sue began working in the Hopkins School District as a paraprofessional while attending classes at St. Cloud State University to obtain her Minnesota Special Education licensure in the area of Developmental Disabilities. She has also completed coursework at Hamline University in the area of Autism Spectrum Disorders.
Sue taught students with disabilities at Gatewood Elementary School in Hopkins School District from 2003-2005. She has been teaching students at the Transition Plus Program since 2005.
