Kecia Anderson grew up in Boyceville, Wisconsin and graduated from Boyceville High School in 1984. Upon graduation, she began attending the University of Wisconsin-Stout and earned a B.S. in Psychology in 1989. Kecia later returned to UW-Stout pursuing a Master's in Education Degree and special education licensure in the area of k-12 Developmental Cognitive Disabilities-Mild Moderate.
Kecia was employed as a paraprofessional at Epsilon, Hennepin County Home School Program, for four years before being hired by St. Louis Park to work with the Transition Plus Program. Kecia has been a teacher with Transition Plus since the fall of 1999. She was one of the originators in creating the program.
