Kindergarten

Your child is unique. Your family's needs are unique.

From their first day of school, Hopkins Public Schools' youngest students are immersed in a learning environment that is responsive, academically rigorous, and emotionally supportive. Our District has two kindergarten options: All-day kindergarten and XinXing Academy Chinese immersion. Our kindergarten options focus on the development of the child as a whole person. We strive to provide early and appropriate opportunities with an integrated curriculum. Our content focuses on the social, emotional, intellectual, and physical growth of the individual child, with equal consideration for each of those needs. Kindergarten is an important transition year for children.

Alongside our high-quality educators, the Hopkins kindergarten program is infused with important foundational concepts as well as STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math), Spanish, and art instruction. Watch the kindergarten video below to learn more.
