If you live in the district, but you want your child to attend a Hopkins school outside of your assigned attendance area, you may complete an In-District Transfer Request, which may be found in the resources box. Families of in-district transfer students generally provide their own school transportation.
Applications will be reviewed by the district Administrative Services department and building principals. Among their considerations are current class sizes at the requested school, sibling preference, and availability of services.
Applications for the 2016-2017 school year may be submitted anytime and will be handled on a space-available basis.
Applications for the 2017-2018 school year are available for submission at this time.
January 15th is the deadline for the initial placement process. If there are more applicants than there are spaces available a lottery will be held. Applicants will be contacted with placement information around mid-March. Applications received after the January 15th deadline will be handled on a space available, date received basis.
