Maya Nnaji named 2021 Star Tribune Metro Player of the Year

Maya Nnaji has been named the 2021 Star Tribune Metro Player of the Year!

The Hopkins High School junior leads our No. 1 ranked Royals girls' basketball team with an average of 20.4 points per game. She recently led her undefeated team to match a state record of 78 straight wins. Maya follows a rich legacy of basketball greatness that has come out of Hopkins High School. Her brother Zeke won the 2019 boys' Metro Player of the Year award and her former teammate Paige Bueckers won the award the past three years.
