Hopkins teachers advance literacy skills through LETRS professional development

In October, Hopkins held its second LETRS professional development session of the year, where teachers involved in the READ Act training are diving into how language and literacy develop in the brain and learning the latest evidence-based practices for literacy instruction. Our unique advantage is having in-district facilitators lead the sessions, providing tailored support and a deeper, more cohesive learning experience. Teachers are participating in both in-person sessions on district professional development days and completing online modules and readings. It’s a significant commitment, but it’s all to benefit our Hopkins students.
