Hopkins Legislative Action Coalition to host virtual candidate forum

The 2020 elections will be more important than ever for Minnesota schools, students, parents, and teachers. Every seat in the Minnesota Senate and House of Representatives is up for reelection, with 23 candidates seeking to represent the Hopkins Public Schools District.

Learn about the candidates and their views on education in the virtual Candidate Forum hosted by the Hopkins Legislative Action Coalition (LAC) on Sept. 26, 2020. The five Senate districts will be divided by time slot, live-streamed, and recorded so that viewers have an opportunity to ask questions via chat, in real-time, or watch their respective district candidates later on the district website.

Additionally, the candidates will answer 2-3 questions that the LAC prepared and sent in advance.

To accommodate busy schedules, we strongly encourage viewers to submit questions for the candidates ahead of the forum: the submission deadline is Thursday, Sept. 24, 2020, at 5:00 p.m. Please send candidate questions to lac@hopkinsschools.org(link sends e-mail).
