Class of 2022 graduates into a bright future

On June 2, more than 500 seniors graduated from Hopkins High School during a 12 p.m. ceremony held at the 3M Arena at Mariucci in Minneapolis.
This is the first graduation since the pandemic that was in-person without restrictions and will included traditional elements such as live music performed by the Hopkins High School Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Midori Treble Singers, and a processional to “Pomp and Circumstance.''
The ceremony was also live streamed on YouTube allowing those who were not able to attend, including out-of-town relatives, the ability to cheer on their graduates. Seniors Emma Coen-Pesch and Imani Kerre-Mongi served as Master of Ceremonies. Angel Riley and Taubie Sanders were the scholar speakers. Principal Crystal Ballard and Superintendent Dr. Mhiripiri-Reed both addressed families and graduating scholars. This is Ballard’s second graduation as principal of Hopkins High School.
