Last week, West Middle School hosted its very first Career Day, and it was a huge success! Students had the opportunity to hear from 25 local professionals who shared what it really takes to do their jobs. The professionals were selected based on the interests of the students which included a police officer, doctor, architect, zookeeper, culinary chef, environmental scientist, lawyer, and more.
“Our hope is that students learn what it takes to achieve their career goals,” said Kim Campbell, West Middle School dean of students. “The benefits are endless, from engaging with community members, to asking questions about a career of their interest and learning about something that intrigues them will be extremely beneficial as they transition to high school.”
A huge thank-you to all the amazing presenters! View more photos here
