8:30-11:00 a.m.: District-based professional learning for all Hopkins employees

We invite you to join us for a special District Kickoff Day. This year, we are partnering with Brave New Workshop to bring you a morning filled with laughter, and an opportunity to connect with colleagues to unite around our common purpose. This experience is designed with restoration and rejuvenation in mind. After, enjoy a delicious meal (see menu below) prepared and presented by our nutrition staff, followed by an afternoon of engaging learning opportunities. This event is for all Hopkins employees. We can't wait to reconnect and spend the day with you!

Hourly staff contracted to work on Aug. 24 will be compensated for 3 to 6 hours. Find information below.

As an additional option, staff who prefer can participate in the event in satellite rooms throughout Hopkins High School, where we will limit the number of people gathered in the space to 10.

11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m.: All Hopkins employee lunch at the Lindbergh Center

A special lunch at Hopkins High School is available for all staff prepared by our fabulous Nutrition team! Since quite a few staff have requested a non-HHS site for Tuesday’s district kickoff experience, our Nutrition Services team would like to ensure they prepare enough delicious food for staff wanting to attend the luncheon at Lindbergh. Please complete this form by noon on Monday if you are not planning to attend the luncheon on Tuesday.

12:45-3:30 p.m.: Professional learning opportunities
  • All non-certified staff are invited to attend a Vision 2031 & Restorative Cultures learning session at Hopkins High School. Hourly employees not contracted to work on Aug. 24 will be compensated up to 6 hours for the day. More information coming soon.

  • Early Childhood Staff will participate in professional development specific to their program. More details will follow.

  • Elementary certified staff will return to their buildings to participate in IXL and Seesaw/Canvas training. More details will follow.

  • Secondary certified staff will return to their buildings for site-based professional learning supported by IDL. More details will follow.

  • Special Services Staff will receive further information from Fhonda Contreras and/or Brian Stanley.
