Hopkins Public Schools Selects New Student Transportation Provider

Hopkins Public Schools, has entered into a new student transportation agreement with Schmitty & Sons School Buses Inc., a Minnesota-based transportation company with extensive experience serving school districts across the Twin Cities metro area. The School Board unanimously approved the contract at its May 5, 2026, meeting. The agreement takes effect July 1, 2026, and includes multi-year term and renewal options.

Schmitty & Sons will manage all aspects of transportation operations, including vehicle maintenance, dispatch, customer service, and operator training.

Schmitty & Sons currently serves school districts in Roseville, Stewartville, Stillwater, Burnsville, and Lakeville, among other communities throughout the metro area
