Donate or register for ResourceWest’s back-to-school supply drive

ResourceWest provides school supplies, programs, and services to help students in the Hopkins and Minnetonka School Districts to start the school year strong. The Back-to-School program offers a new backpack filled with basic, grade-specific school supplies to registered K-12 students.

School Supply pick up: Saturday, August 22, 2026
Location: ResourceWest, 13231 Minnetonka Drive, Minnetonka, MN 55305

How to register:

To qualify for the program, your child must be enrolled in Hopkins School District or Minnetonka School District, and live in one of the following cities: Hopkins, Minnetonka, Deephaven, Excelsior, Greenwood, Shorewood, and Woodland.

Families can register online and choose a pick-up appointment time. At the time of your appointment, you must bring the following: guardian photo I.D., proof of current address, and identification for each registered child (birth certificate, social security card, or medical card).

This year, local organizations and community partners will be available during school supplies pick up for families to learn about programs, services, and activities to support children and families throughout the year.

How to donate or volunteer:

If you’d like to support and donate to this program, you can donate new school supplies through ResourceWest wish lists on Amazon and Target. You can also make a financial contribution to help purchase needed items.

You can also volunteer to sort supplies or backpacks or organize a school supply drive through your workplace, neighborhood, congregation, or community group by emailing Zach at zach@resourcewest.org.
