An unlikely friendship between a Gatewood Elementary fourth-grader and longtime neighborhood resident is fueled by a mutual love for art. In celebration of the friendship, Jeff Stitt donated a painting and $100 to the school’s art program.
Hopkins Public Schools has been named a “2017 Best School District in America” by Niche.com, a website that helps parents find the right school for them. Hopkins earned eighth place in the category “Best School District in Minnesota.”
West Junior High teacher Becky Jacobson was recognized as a TIES Exceptional Teacher at the TIES 2016 Education Technology Conference on Dec. 13. She was among 76 teachers from 39 districts to be recognized with this honor.
