Hopkins High School's theatre program, Royal Productions, will present its spring production, "the Red Velvet Cake War" on April 27, 28 and 29 at 7 p.m. at Hopkins High School (2400 Lindbergh Drive, Minnetonka) in the Little Theatre.

The play opens on the hottest day of the year in July and smack-dab in the middle of Texas tornado season. The formidable women of the Verdeen clan are meeting up for a family reunion. Quirky characters and outlandish situations aside, things get really crazy when a high stakes wager is made on who bakes the best red velvet cake. Full of slapstick humor and brilliant one-liners, the zany southern-friend comedy is loads of fun!

Tickets are available at the door only. Admission price is $5 for students and seniors and $8 for adults. Students must show their ID to receive the rate. Visit www.hhstheater.org for more information.
