Royal Bash raises $181,200 for Hopkins students

The Mardi Gras-themed event drew 400 supporters and raised $181,200 for grants and special projects that directly benefit Hopkins Public Schools students.

The Hopkins Education Foundation (HEF) hosted its 18th-annual Royal Bash on Saturday, Feb. 25, at the Minnetonka Marriott. The Mardi Gras-themed event drew 400 supporters and raised $181,200 for grants and special projects that directly benefit Hopkins Public Schools students.

Royal Bash highlights included a dinner prepared by Chef Seth Bixby Daugherty, performances by local musicians, a magician, and festive games. Since 1995, HEF has raised $2.5 million, which has been used to fund 380 grants for pilot projects and curricular enhancements. HEF is a non-profit independent from Hopkins Public Schools and is dedicated to providing resources for educational innovations and enhancements for student success. It is governed by a volunteer board of directors.
