American Indian Culture Celebration

Hopkins Public Schools is hosting its first American Indian Culture Celebration on Saturday May 19 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Everyone is welcome!

Please join us for the first American Indian Cultural Celebration hosted by Hopkins Public Schools. Everyone is welcome to this free event that features food, dance, history and heritage.

Event features: 

  • Native Pride Arts
  • Free food courtesy of Austin Bartold of Gatherings Cafe
  • See cultural dance demonstrations
  • Drum circle
  • Storytellers and speakers
  • View the story about the creation of the jingle dress dance
  • Attend cultural learning activities for kids, and bring home a book from a native author thanks to a generous grant from the Hopkins Education Foundation.
  • Browse our cultural resource and vendor fair with cultural art and crafts
  • Learn about the history of lacrosse and try it out for yourself with free demos!
