If you live outside of the Hopkins School District boundary and would like your child to attend one of our schools — we welcome you to open enroll.
Transportation is not provided outside of the school district
Families of open-enrolled students must transport their students to and from school. Some open-enrolled students residing in North Minneapolis who qualify may be eligible to receive transportation through the Equity Options program, learn more.

Upcoming 2026-27 school year: For applications submitted by the January 15, 2026 deadline, you will hear from us by email with placement offers by February 15, 2026. If you receive an offer, please follow the email instructions to accept your space by March 1, 2026. Confirming your placement by this date is very important.
- All applications received by the January 15, 2026 deadline will be included in the initial placement process. A lottery system will be used if more students apply than the program can accommodate.
Current 2025-26 school year: As of November 1, 2025, all of our schools have waitlists for the current school year. Your child's name will be added to the waitlist in order of your application submission date.
