In-District Transfer Application
If you live in the District but you want your student to attend a Hopkins school outside of your assigned attendance area, you must complete an In-District Transfer application. Families of in-district transfer students are responsible for providing their own school transportation.
Applications will be reviewed by the Administrative Services department and building principals. Among their considerations are current class sizes at the requested school, sibling preference, and availability of services. We welcome you to submit an In-District Transfer Application
For the upcoming 2025-26 school year: The January 15 deadline for the 2025-26 school year has passed, but we still welcome you to submit your application. Applications received after this date will be placed on the waitlist in the order they are submitted. You will receive an update on your application starting in early March.
It is important to confirm your student's placement transfer. For applications submitted by the January 15 deadline, you’ll hear from us by email with placement offers by February 15, 2025. If you receive an offer, please reply to accept it by March 1, 2025.
Current 2024-25 school year: Although the deadline for the 2024-25 school year has passed, we welcome you to submit an application. Your transfer request will be reviewed by the Administrative Services department and building principals for approval.
Kindergarten Families
After you receive confirmation that your In-District Transfer request is approved, you will need to submit a K-12 student enrollment form to finalize your student's enrollment.
