In-District Transfer Application
If you live in the District but you want your student to attend a Hopkins school outside of your assigned attendance area, you must complete an In-District Transfer application. Families of in-district transfer students are responsible for providing their own school transportation.
Applications will be reviewed by the Administrative Services department and building principals. Among their considerations are current class sizes at the requested school, sibling preference, and availability of services. Please contact the school office you are interested in attending if you have questions about the school. Find a listing of our schools and links to schedule tours here.

Upcoming 2026-27 school year: For applications submitted by the January 15, 2026 deadline, you will hear from us by email with placement offers by February 15, 2026. If you receive an offer, please follow the email instructions to accept your space by March 1, 2026.
Current 2025-26 school year: As of November 1, 2025, all of our schools have waitlists for the current school year. Your child's name will be added to the waitlist in order of your application submission date.
Kindergarten Families
After you receive confirmation that your In-District Transfer request is approved, you will need to submit a K-12 student enrollment form to finalize your student's enrollment.
