In-District Transfer Application

If you live in the District but you want your student to attend a Hopkins school outside of your assigned attendance area, you must complete an In-District Transfer application. Families of in-district transfer students are responsible for providing their own school transportation.

Applications will be reviewed by the Administrative Services department and building principals. Among their considerations are current class sizes at the requested school, sibling preference, and availability of services. Upcoming 2026-27 school year:  The January 15 application deadline for the upcoming 2026-27 school year has passed; however we continue to accept applications. Applications submitted after this date will be placed on the waitlist in the order received. Families will receive application updates beginning in early  March.

• All applications received by the January 15, 2026 deadline you will hear from us by email with placement offers by February 15, 2026. If you receive an offer, please follow the email instructions to accept your space by March 1, 2026. Confirming your placement by this date is very important.​​​​​​ 

Current 2025-26 school year: As of January 15, 2026, all of our schools have waitlists for the current school year. Your child's name will be added to the waitlist in order of your application submission date.
