Here is information about transportation of kindergarten students. Attendance areas for each of our schools, with morning and afternoon kindergarten areas, may be downloaded below. The maps also show walking zones.

Midday Transportation

Each elementary school attendance area is divided into an AM attendance area and a PM attendance area.  Kindergarten students' class assignments are based on the location of their home within the AM or PM area.  Students who live within their elementary school "walk boundary" are not eligible to receive transportation and are assigned to an AM or PM class in a manner that facilitates a balance in class sizes.

AM Kindergarten

Kindergarten students ride the school bus in the morning with the older elementary students using regular, pre-existing elementary school bus stops.  They ride home at midday on a special kindergarten bus.  The midday bus will drop kindergarten students at their home or as close as possible to their home (cul-de-sacs, dead-end streets, and apartment parking lots may limit bus access).

PM Kindergarten

Kindergarten students ride to school at midday on a special kindergarten bus.  The bus picks up the students at their home or as close as possible to their home (cul-de-sacs, dead-end streets, and apartment parking lots may limit bus access).  At the end of the school day, kindergarten students will ride the school bus home with the older elementary students using regular, pre-existing elementary school bus stops.

All-Day Kindergarten and Kids & Company 

All-Day and Kids & Company kindergarten students ride to school in the morning with the older elementary students and ride home at the end of the day with the older elementary students.
