We are committed to ensuring that our teachers and classrooms are equipped with the state-of-the-art tools they need to help our students learn effectively and be well prepared for life in a 21st century technological world.

With leadership from our Technology Integration Steering Committee and district media specialists, we are continually strengthening and expanding the integration of technology into instruction, curriculum, and assessment in a variety of ways:

• promoting technology in all curriculum areas and grade levels

• creating student and staff technology standards

• offering ongoing professional training for all staff in the use of 21st century technologies

• providing state-of-the-art hardware, software, and online resources for students and staff

K-12 Student Information Technology Standards

We are developing a set of K-12 skill expectations for information and media literacy that are based on national standards and are being incorporated into all other curriculum areas.

Internet Safety

The proper use of the Internet is the joint responsibility of our students, parents, and staff. Our school board policy on Acceptable Internet Use provides guidelines to help ensure the safety of our students and network.

District and Building Technology Integration Specialists

In addition to district leadership for technology integration, we have teacher-leaders in each school who help support their colleagues with the use of technology in their classrooms.
