The Technology and Media Services department provides 21st century resources and services to meet the technology and information needs of our students, staff, and parents.

We support student achievement by:

  • helping students solve problems, use information, and communicate in a highly technical world
  • enhancing communication between the school, home, and community
  • ensuring a secure and efficient structure for data management and information support

Technology & Information Literacy Standards (TILS)

Hopkins Public Schools has developed standards in technology and information literacy for students in Kindergarten through Grade 8 that help ensure digitally-enriched learning experiences promoting 21st century skills.

Educational Technology Integration

We work with teachers to integrate 21st century educational technologies into our curriculum, instruction, and assessment.

District Media Services

Each of our nine Hopkins schools has a welcoming, up-to-date, and well-equipped library media center staffed by a full-time licensed media specialist and several support staff.

Digital AV Info

Digital Audio-Visual services are offered to enhance classroom engagement, increase media literacy, and help connect our schools to the community.

Technology Support & Services

We provide highly skilled computer specialists to keep technology in our schools and departments running smoothly.

Information Systems

We support information use and data-driven decision making throughout the school district by maintaining and providing access to instructional, financial, demographic, and historical data.

We provide and maintain access to services for staff, students, and parents including email, file storage, financial management, staff directory, transportation, networking, voice communications and more.
