Our Family and Consumer Sciences program prepares students for family life and the interrelationships between family, community, and work.

In Hopkins Public Schools we believe in educating the whole child, and the Fine Arts department is a strong and vital part of this culture.

Health education is an important part of our comprehensive school health program in Hopkins Public Schools. We continually update our curriculum so that it accurately reflects current topics of concern and ongoing developments in the health science field.

Our Language Arts curriculum prepares students to communicate information in various ways. We give students effective techniques to send and receive information in a clear, thoughtful manner, and to use related knowledge and contexts to synthesize information into meaningful messages.

Mathematical proficiency involves five interwoven strands. We want students to be able to understand, apply, compute, reason, and engage in mathematics.

Beginning in Kindergarten, students in Hopkins Public Schools develop important skills in technology and information literacy through digital experiences embedded in the other curriculum areas.

In Hopkins Public Schools we want all of our students to be healthy, active learners. To that end, we provide a comprehensive physical education program for our K–12 students.

In the Hopkins Public Schools we help all children become independent readers and writers through a balanced literacy program.

The mission of our Science program is to develop scientifically literate citizens. We are dedicated to creating an environment that instills an enthusiasm for scientific learning.

Our Social Studies program is designed to develop responsible, educated citizens who are knowledgeable and engaged in our diverse democratic society and our dynamic global community.
