The Department of Teaching, Learning, and Assessment provides support, guidance, and direction for what we teach, strategies for teaching, and tools to measure and analyze what our students have learned. Within our department are specific curriculum content areas, along with programs that are specific to our students and staff. Hopkins is a learning organization, and our department is privileged to engage in this work!
Hopkins Public Schools is strengthening its high-quality secondary program.
The Hopkins School Board has directed the administration to conduct a
secondary program review. The purpose of this study will be to
proactively review the junior and senior high school program
requirements and master schedule, keeping in mind the desire to provide
optimal student learning and achievement within the resources available
to the school district.
In this section you will find information about our content areas, curriculum, and standards. Content area examples include Business Education, Language Arts, Mathematics, Physical Education, Science, and World Languages.
In this section you will find information about some other programs and services that are based in our department and provide additional support to our students and teachers. For example: English Language Learners (ELL), Gifted and Talented (Challenge) Services, Equity and Inclusion, and Staff Development.
The Assessment department facilitates and supports the administration and analysis of tests given to our students that provide information on student achievement and growth on state and national measures.

The purpose of the Educational Services Advisory Committee (ESAC) is to
provide advice, direction, and support to our school district.
