"We know that a child who is hungry and cannot learn: becomes a man or woman who cannot earn."

What a powerful statement!  Join us in our efforts by making sure the food that is sent to school with your child for classroom snacks and activities are nutrient dense; which will contribute significantly to their health and their ability to learn and grow.

We've put together a list of suggestions that are a great resource for parents to print out for the front of the kitchen refrigerator. Involve your child by asking them what choices they would like and ask them to help pack it. You might want to consider having them go with you to the grocery store with you to shop for their snacks.  Offering a list of options they can select from allows children to have a voice in what they are eating.  Consequently, most children  become more accepting of a larger variety of foods and tastes that give them fuel they need to play, learn and grow.
