The first grade students in XinXing Academy, our Chinese Immersion program are excited to be learning about  China in the year of the Ox.

XinXing familiies celebrated Chinese New Year with food and fun!

Chinese is a practical language to learn, given that China is the world's most populous nation and it has many political and economic ties with the U.S.

XinXing Academy, Hopkins Public Schools' Chinese immersion program, was featured on Channel 12's news broadcast on Tuesday, Nov. 10. The story, "Local district a leader in Chinese immersion" included video of student lessons and information about a five-year $1.4 million grant Hopkins received to further enhance the program.

With a major grant, Hopkins will develop an innovative Chinese immersion curriculum—an interdisciplinary curriculum ranging from engineering to language arts, math, science, social studies, technology, art . . .
