Kelly Dirks earned her B.A. in German Studies at the University of Minnesota. After completion, she lived in Waldenbuch, Germany, until returning to the University to enter graduate school. She completed a master's degree in education for second languages and cultures and finished requirements for her teaching licenses in both German and English as a second language. Miss Dirks began teaching in the Hopkins Public Schools in 2008. She teaches at Hopkins High School, West Junior High and North Junior High as well as taking student trips to Concordia Language Villages in Bemidji, MN and leading student groups around Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
