The entrance is directly off Cedar Lake Road and is clearly designated "Parent Drop-off."

What do I need to do if my child is sick for the day or needs to leave for a doctor appointment?

If a student will be absent for any reason, a parent or guardian should call the school at 952.988.4810 preferably before 10:00 on the day of the absence. If you need to pick up your student early for an appointment, please write a note to be given to the Student Service Center. The student will be given an early dismissal pass. Parents must come in to the Student Service Center to pick up their student.

What can I do when my child forgets his/her assignment or ...?

When you get the "I forgot" phone call, tell your student when you will be dropping off the item at the Student Service Center.  The student can pick up his/her item between classes, during Homebase, or over the lunch hour.

Is there a dress code?

Yes, our students may not wear clothing that presents inappropriate language (as determined by each classroom teacher or administrator), drug or alcohol advertising, or ethnic, racial, or sexist put-downs. Students' clothing must not become a distraction to the educational environment.

Clothing that does not cover students' shoulders, midriff and chest; clothing that does not cover their undergarments; and undergarments that are worn as outer garments are all examples of dress that creates a distracting environment. Students who wear such clothing will be required to change clothes. (The school will provide appropriate clothing.) If appropriate clothing is not available at school, the parent will be notified to bring in appropriate clothing or pickup the student. Students may not wear a hat in school. They will not be allowed to wear a jacket during the school day. Students wearing hats or jackets must remove them. If the problem persists, the hat or jacket will be taken.

Can my student carry a backpack throughout the school day?

Because of safety concerns, students will not be allowed to use backpacks during the school day. Students may use backpacks to transport books and belongings to and from school. Backpacks must remain in lockers between 8:40 a.m. and the end of the day.

Can my child carry a cell phone or pager?

Students are NOT allowed to use or display cell phones during the school day.  All cell phones not in lockers from the beginning to the end of the school day will be confiscated. First offense:  the phone is taken, and it will be returned at the end of the day.  The second offense: The phone will be taken and a parent must pick it up in the main office.

Students may use a classroom phone in an emergency situation. If you need to contact your student during the school day, please call 952.988.4805 and a message will be sent to your child.
