Hopkins High School BETTER WAYS
Committee whose members are interested in helping continue to promote a chemically free environment at HHS and among student peers. Students plan campaigns, promotions, and events focusing on ways to help students stay chemically free.

We are a hip-hop dance squad, open to girls and boys. We perform for many events during the year, including football and basketball games, and shows and concerts. We rehearse on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3 to 5 p.m. in room W117.

Gay Straight Alliance

GSA is a social and activism group for students of all sexual orientations and gender identities. We welcome anyone who wants to come! We provide a safe, friendly environment to discuss issues concerning the LGBTQ community and we host events in the school to raise awareness of these issues.

Keep the Drive Club

Teens today are always texting to stay up-to-date with their friends, even when driving. As a result, many teens can be seen driving with their phone in hand which is as dangerous as driving under the influence. Keep the Drive's goal is to prevent accidents and save lives by informing students on the dangers of texting and driving.

A mountain biking club is recognized by the new Minnesota High School Cycling League. The goal is to train and compete in the four fall races. It is a co-ed club. Members will learn techniques, racing skills, and strategies to become better athletes.

Operation Smile is a club that exists to raise money to further the work of the national Operation Smile Organization. This non-profit organization sends medical teams around the world to provide surgery to children with cleft lips and palates.

Hopkins High School ProStart Culinarians
An opportunity for those interested in the culinary industry to challenge their skills and abilities. Competitions in culinary and management are held at the state and national level for students studying in this program. Winners are awarded scholarships to many schools in the culinary field.

Quiz Bowl is an academic competition in which a team of four competes against other teams in the state and nationally. It is a buzzer-style question round, with points given for correct answers to questions covering all academic subjects.
