"Agape" means "unconditional love" in Greek. Community of Christians that meet to encourage one another in faith. Goal is to show friends, classmates, teachers, and the world God's unconditional love.

The Asian Culture Club has a focus on the food of Asian cultures ranging from India to Japan. The club  will also participate in planned activities such as karate, origami, and calligraphy.

Students read a book and enjoy an informal discussion on it one month later.

Ceramics Club is all about being creative and growing your current skills, or if you are a beginner, learning something new. Artists come and create whatever they would like to make. There are no specific projects.

Students get together to play chess and have fun.

Dare 2 Be Real is a club that promotes, addresses, and discusses racial equity and anti-racist leadership in our school district.

The goal of the Hopkins High School Debate Team is to be educationally and competitively successful. Our core approach to achieving these goals is to focus on the development of rigorous and critical thinking, and to foster a team culture based on thoughtfulness and respect.

DECA is an international association of high school and college students studying marketing, management, entrepreneurship, finance, hospitality, and sales.

We are a hip-hop dance squad, open to girls and boys. We perform for many events during the year, including football and basketball games, and shows and concerts. We rehearse on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3 to 5 p.m. in room W117.

FCA is a group where Christian athletes can get together to enjoy speakers and community.

Earth Club is organized and facilitated by students and is devoted to environmental awareness, education, and related action locally, statewide and nationally.

Envirothon is an academic competition in which teams of 5 students compete against regional teams on quizzes about environmental issues. High-scoring teams advance to state and national competition.

Le Club Françoise is a club which celebrates the culture and language of France.

An opportunity for students to play video and computer games.

GSA is a social and activism group for students of all sexual orientations and gender identities. We welcome anyone who wants to come! We provide a safe, friendly environment to discuss issues concerning the LGBTQ community and we host events in the school to raise awareness of these issues.

Students will experience a variety of culture-based activities like German breakfasts, films and games.

The Good Karma Project is a club devoted to doing volunteer work and good deeds in the world.

Students talk about Harry Potter trivia and prepare for entrance into Hogwart's University.

Hip Hop Club is an student driven artistic initiative accessing KHOP's audio and visual equipment to create media reflective and expressive of an ever-evolving youth culture at Hopkins High School.

Teens today are always texting to stay up-to-date with their friends, even when driving. As a result, many teens can be seen driving with their phone in hand which is as dangerous as driving under the influence. Keep the Drive's goal is to prevent accidents and save lives by informing students on the dangers of texting and driving.

 

The Knitting Club is open to staff and students as well as experienced and novice knitters. We have all the materials to get you started and look forward to sharing your creative talents.

Knowledge Masters is an academic team competition in which students compete against other schools internationally. Hopkins High School competes twice a year and competes on the 200-question test as a team.

Math League meets together to solve challenging math problems that may not be seen in their regular math classes.  We study various areas of mathematics to prepare for 5 competitions throughout the year.

A mountain biking club is recognized by the new Minnesota High School Cycling League. The goal is to train and compete in the four fall races. It is a co-ed club. Members will learn techniques, racing skills, and strategies to become better athletes.

Club for Muslim students to get together and discuss Muslim issues. Activities include Muslim lectures and fundraisers to help Muslim families in need.

NHS is a service organization whose members are admitted based on academics, character, leadership, and service.  NHS members complete chapter and individual service projects throughout senior year.

Quiz Bowl is an academic competition in which a team of four competes against other teams in the state and nationally. It is a buzzer-style question round, with points given for correct answers to questions covering all academic subjects.

Hopkins Sailing Club practices and competes with other high school sailing teams, as well as practicing with college sailors from the University of Minnesota and University of St. Thomas.

Students will experience a variety of culture-based activities like films after school and learning to dance salsa.  In addition, students will participatein the Heifer International fundraiser and the Spanish tutoring program.

Record sporting, music, and other events at HHS. Students may announce, run cameras, run audio, and fill other crew positions

.

College preparation and academic enrichment program for students of color. Program is run in tandem with the YMCA. Students explore career opportunities and work with mentors in the community.

Young Liberals Club is a place for progressive minds. Students talk about issues facing their community that they are passionate about, come up with ways they can bring about change, watch cool movies, get speakers, write to politicians, etc.
