XinXing currently has ten Mandarin Immersion classroom teachers and four Immersion classroom teaching assistants that are bilingual, native speakers of Mandarin Chinese.  We also have two visiting teachers from China who serve as resource teachers in our classrooms.  XinXing shares specialists in Music, Physical Education, Special Education, and Media with Eisenhower Elementary and is also supported by the wonderful administrative staff from Eisenhower Elementary.

Assistant Principal
Paul Domer has been working in the Hopkins School District since 2004. He taught 5th grade at Meadowbrook Elementary after teaching for three years in Columbia Heights as a 3rd and 4th grade teacher.

Dilu Shi started her career in Hopkins Public Schools as a teaching assistant for XinXing kindergarten in 2009. She then moved to a teaching position in Grade 3 XinXing in 2010.

Lixia Shi began teaching grade 4 in Hopkins Public Schools in 2011. She studied at Hebei Normal University and Beijing Normal University in China. After arriving in the U.S., she earned a Master's degree at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota.

Molly Wieland, PhD in French Linguistics/Second Language Acquisition

XinXing Curriculum Coordinator and FLAP Grant Project Director
Molly Wieland received a PhD in French linguistics from Indiana University in 1990. She was on the French faculty at the University of Minnesota before coming to Hopkins in 1995. From 1995-2009, she taught French at Hopkins High School and served as the District's world language coordinator.

Hui Yu began teaching grade 2 in XinXing Academy in January of 2011. She was a teacher for over a decade in China before she moved to Sweden as an international student.
