KinderConnection is an innovative approach to a full-day kindergarten experience. A program of Kids & Company, KinderConnection offers academic learning and one-on-one attention with three-, four-, or five-day options. KinderConnection children will attend Half-Day Kindergarten and spend the rest of the day in KinderConnection.

• KinderConnection enriches Hopkins Public Schools' half-day kindergarten through an age-appropriate balance of academic, play, and social opportunities.

• KinderConnection offers a 10-to-1 student-to-teacher ratio.

• KinderConnection students participate in a specialized movement curriculum—Stimulating Maturity through Accelerated Readiness Training (SMART). SMART is a multi-sensory approach to learning, designed to develop the physiological and neurological readiness skills that students need to be successful in school.

• KinderConnection is accredited, along with Kids & Company, by the National AfterSchool Association—the highest national standards for providing children with quality care, education, and programming during their out-of-school time.

• KinderConnection is located in your child's elementary school.

Hours:

2.5 hours in a Half-Day Kindergarten classroom and 4 hours in a KinderConnection classroom

Cost :

• KinderConnection: $3,400 for the school year, five days per week (Rate may be subject to change. Final rate will be determined in March 2012.)

• Half-Day Kindergarten: Free, five days per week

KinderConnection accepts county childcare assistance.

Before- and after-school care options:

• Adding before- OR after-school care with Kids & Company: $1,530

• Adding before- AND after-school care with Kids & Company: $2,550

*Kids & Company rates are in addition to KinderConnection program rates. Kids & Company rates are subject to change. Three- and four-day Kids & Company and KinderConnection options are also available. (Rates may be subject to change. Final rate will be determined in March 2012.)
