Is it true that teachers will be laid off and class sizes will increase as a direct result of the new teacher salary increase recently approved by the school board? 

Answer

We are adjusting budgets to account for the settlement costs. However, we are working to maintain our present levels of staffing for the next year, and are managing fund balances and ongoing costs to create a fiscal solution that has a minimal impact on the classrooms.
