Students from Hopkins' Chinese immersion program, XinXing Academy, were invited to MC the CAAM Chinese Dance Theatre's 12th Annual Chinese Culture School Show on Jan. 24, 2021. The show celebrated the Chinese New Year.
The performance, called "China the Beautiful: from the Mountains to the Prairies," took place in the O'Shaughnessy auditorium at St. Catherine University. About 1400 students from around the metro attended, including all XinXing students.
"This was a perfect opportunity for the performers to share their work with other students and express themselves as contributing members of the community," said Zhining Chin, Chinese expert for Hopkins Public Schools. "Our students worked very hard to prepare for this event."
