Amy Gallop, a member of the 2009-10 staff of the Hopkins High School Royal Page student newspaper, is one of six finalists for Story of the Year in a nationwide contest sponsored by the National Scholastic Press Association.
Gallop was recognized in the feature category for her story on teen pregnancy and a teenage mother and father attending Hopkins High School. The article was publiched in the November issue of last year's Royal Page.
The first-place winner in this category will be announced November 13 at the National Scholastic Press Association's fall convention in Kansas City. Gallop is the only finalist, in any category, from the state of Minnesota.
