Hopkins School District #270

The District received a federal (Department of Education) Readiness and Emergency Management for Schools (REMS) grant in July 2009. Our objectives with receiving the REMS grant include: increase effectiveness of school district's response to crisis and emergencies; increase ability to restore the learning environment after a crisis; improve framework to address four phases of emergency management; increase key personnel that are trained in the National Incident Management System; and improve relationships between emergency responders and District Administration.
