I recently read that the MN Senate has drafted a bill to set the school counseling services at a rate not to exceed 325 students per licensed school counselor for grades 9 through 12 and 475 students per licensed school counselor for kindergarten through grade 8. What are the current ratios in the Hopkins School District?

7th grade = 251
8th grade = 279
9th grade =277
TOTAL = 807
Counselors = 2 Full time employees
North-
7th grade = 281
8th grade = 321
9th grade = 325
TOTAL= 927
Counselors = 2.5 Full time employees
HHS-
10th grade = 320:1
11th grade = 302:1
12th grade = 303:1
TOTAL= 1851
