School & Communities in Partnership
School
& Communities in Partnership (SCIP) is Hopkins School District's
Family Services Collaborative. The SCIP Collaborative meets monthly
to share information and look for opportunities to improve the community
by working together to solve community problems that are beyond the
scope of any single organization. Collaborative members are representatives
from Hopkins School District, Hennepin County, cities, social service
providers, apartment management companies and faith communities.
SCIP's Mission Is:
With a focus on both networking and action, the mission of SCIP is to collaboratively identify, prioritize, and communicate recommendations for action to address the human service needs of all citizens in the Hopkins School District and member communities.

SCIP 2012-2013 Meetings
During the 2012-2013 School Year, School & Communities in Partnership will continue focusing on Creating a Vital Community. Vital communities are places where residents of all ages and abilities are actively engaged in civic life. The kind of community that is good for children and families is the same kind of community that is good for older residents. A vital community is dynamic, supportive and purposeful; and one that encourages connectivity.
SCIP Meetings are scheduled on Tuesdays (except for October meeting), 12:00 - 1:30 pm at Eisenhower Community Center, room 223, 1001 Highway 7, Hopkins, MN 55305.
Bring a colleague, a bag lunch and come prepared to contribute, learn and share.
