Board Goals
The Board goals for the 2011-12 school year are noted below.
To fulfill the School Board's responsibility of aligning resources and providing accountability to the end of student achievement and engaging our community, the Board will:
Goal I: ENSURE ACCOUNTABILITY
—Develop policies and align resources to achieve outcomes
—Provide fiduciary and educational program oversight
Goal II: LISTEN & COMMUNICATE
—Facilitate school district/community relationships
—Seek out, listen to and inform the community
—Innovate and be strategic —Build coalitions for public education —Tap leadership talents throughout the community —Work as a team for the greater good
Goal IV: LEARN
—Understand substantive issues facing education and the school district
—Build board governance capacity
