School Board

The Hopkins School Board — comprising seven members elected at large by residents of the District — is the governing authority of Hopkins Public Schools. The responsibilities of the Board are primarily focused on three areas:

  • Budget adoption, revenue management, and expenditure authorization

  • Superintendent selection, contract, and evaluation

  • Establishing District policy

The Superintendent and the Director of Business Services — who is the Board-appointed Clerk — serve as ex officio, non-voting members of the Board.
