Forty-six percent of our students participate in athletic programs:

  • The elementary extracurricular athletics program offers volleyball, basketball, and track and field for students in 5th and 6th grade through Hopkins Public Schools' Community Education Department.
  • Junior high offerings include cross-country running, swimming, tennis, volleyball, basketball, softball, track, wrestling, football, and soccer. Junior high athletes are eligible to participate in high school sports that are not offered at the junior high.
  • Hopkins High School athletic offerings include 18 girls' sports and 14 boys' sports such as boys & girls cross country, football, boys & girls soccer, boys & girls swimming & diving, boys & girls tennis, girls volleyball, cheerleading, co-ed adapted soccer, boys & girls basketball, girls dance team, girls gymnastics, boys & girls hockey, boys & girls alpine skiing, boys & girls Nordic skiing, wrestling, co-ed adapted floor hockey, baseball, girls softball, boys & girls golf, girls synchronized swimming, boys & girls track & field, boys & girls lacrosse, co-ed adapted softball, and adapted bowling.
  • An intramural program at Hopkins High School is designed to offer all students a variety of fun and competitive activities. Offered during the fall, winter, and spring seasons, intramural activities range from badminton to floor hockey and table tennis.
